

Nicole Tucker-Smith is cofounder and CEO of Lessoncast, an online platform for capturing and sharing effective teaching and learning practices. She consults with schools, districts, states, and teacher preparation programs to help educator communities customize professional learning experiences that showcase teacher development and instructional expertise. Nicole has served as an elementary and middle school teacher (in Alexandria City and Baltimore City Schools), supervisor of parent support services, assistant principal, and coordinator of systemwide professional development for Baltimore County Public Schools. She also led state-level initiatives for Johns Hopkins University Center for Technology in Education and currently teaches in the JHU Administration and Supervision program. In addition, Nicole is an international presenter on Universal Design for Learning, a member of the CAST UDL Cadre, and she provides her professional development expertise to support implementation of UDL in P12 and higher education learning environments.
