Liz Dwyer is the Culture and Education Editor at TakePart. She grew up in the Chicagoland area but has called Los Angeles home since arriving in 1998 as a Teach For America corps member placed in Compton. Liz went on to spend seven years with Teach For America in Los Angeles. She was previously the education editor at GOOD Magazine, and has written about race, parenting, and social justice for several national websites and print publications.
