Jitu Brown, executive director of the Journey for Justice Alliance, highlights how school closures, privatization and standardized tests have been tools of racial injustice in American schools. Brown helped organized community support for the student-led campaign to stop the closure of Walter H. Dyett High School in South Side of Chicago -- a model "community school" focused on restorative justice and student empowerment.
